REUNION FOR MAC
Reunion has traditionally been one of the most popular programs for the Mac, though there are new programs that run on Mac that have become available in this last year—including a version of RootsMagic and FamilyTree Maker.
Reunion is sold by the Leister Productions company and is available at http://www.leisterpro.com/ for $99.
Besides working on a Mac, it also works on the iPhone and iPad as shown in the next image. There is a demo version available at the website that is limited in four ways: Only 50 people can be entered in the demo version, Import/Export is disabled, Charts and slideshows can’t be saved, and the printed output will be watermarked.
Like RootsMagic, when you download the software from the website, it will be in the demo mode until you enter the license key that you receive when you purchase the software. The following are instructions for Reunion version 9.
The Reunion screen looks like the image below. Under the views menu (with the glasses) you have the options for different screens: Default, Misc. Notes, Medical and Misc, Events and LDS Events. Each of these views show different aspects of the person’s life.
The Default shows basic information about the person and also the general notes. The Misc. Notes screen shows only the notes. The Medical and Misc, screen shows the medical information for the person and the miscellaneous notes again. The Events screen shows all the events that have been entered in for each person. And the LDS Events screen shows LDS ordinance information along with birth, death, and notes. From the Preferences screen there are many options to format Reunion to match your desires.
