Ancestry
The third tab has been selected in the Reports and Charts screen. The starting person will remain as shown on the PAF program main pedigree chart or family group view screen unless you search for someone else and select them. Notice in the image below that this is a standard chart. Ancestry charts are like pedigree charts but they compress information together so that numerous generations can fit on one page. Notice that the Suppress RINs is automatically done. You may turn it off if you desire.

Type of Chart
Ancestry charts are similar to pedigree charts. In general, they show more generations of a person's direct-line ancestors with less information about each individual.
You can print two types of ancestry charts (described in PAF Help material):
- Standard Chart This type provides only birth and death date information for each person. Uses only a single page width, but continues for as many pages as there are ancestors.
- Wall Chart This supplies varying degrees of additional information for each person and uses more than a single pages width and continues for as many pages as there are ancestors.
Chart Options
Maximum indentation for each generation This sets the maximum white space (measured in tenths of an inch) between each generation on the chart. NOTE: If there are too many generations to fit on the page, PAF will reduce this value to try to fit them all on a page.

Titles printed on each page Click this if you wish the document title to be printed on each page.

Print generation numbers Click this if you wish the generation number to precede each name on the chart.

Date format Your chart can include birth (or christening) and death (or burial) dates for each individual. Choose one of the options.

Include This is where you choose places to accompany the dates you just set. You need to define how much information you want to present in this visual display. You can choose either Place of birth or Place of death or both (and their dates). NOTE: The more information you request, the more abbreviation occurs.
Other Options
These are four options you've already encountered on the the previous tabs. They perform the same operations. Below is the Print Preview Option.
