Example 1: A man married a woman when he was thirty-three and she was twenty-seven. This could indicate a second marriage for both of them in some areas of the United States. On the other hand, if there was a thirteen-year-old child in the family with the father's last name, it might be an indication of the father's previous marriage.

Example 2: The death of anyone on the eastern seaboard of the United States between 1860-1865 could indicate possible Civil War involvement or causes.

Example 3: The disappearance of an 18 to 30 year old ancestor in the eastern states before the 1850 census, with no death record located, could indicate a visit to the California gold mining industry.

Example 4: Someone who was born in Tennessee, who married in Ohio, and who died in California in 1863 might also have been involved with the California Gold Rush.

Example 5:Upon studying the dates it was noticed that the great grandfather is only 30 years older than the grandson. Perhaps someone has added a generation to the family because two grandparents had the same names.
