2  Choose from the options on the export screen—

• Standard GEDCOM 5.5—use this to export to:
  • individuals who use PAF 3 or PAF 4
  • Family Tree Maker
  • Ancestry.com
  • Kindred Konnections

  When you click Export, this asks where to save the GEDCOM file.

  
• GEDCOM 4.0—use this to export to:
  • individuals who use PAF 2.1 or PAF 2.31
  • similar genealogy software

  When you click Export, this takes you to the same Export GEDCOM file as screen that you saw with the GEDCOM 5.5 option.

  
• Ancestral File—use this to export to Ancestral File

  When you click Export, this takes you to the same Export GEDCOM file as screen.

• Pedigree Resource File—use this to export as a Pedigree Resource File (if you wish more information about this, go to www.familysearch.org and click PRESERVE YOUR GENEALOGY along the left side of that screen)

• TempleReady—this is for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) who wish to submit or take names of their ancestors to LDS temples.
