Additional Identifiers

As you may have recognized, there can be an unlimited source of additional identifiers coming everywhere from their occupation, to their internal migration patterns, to their children's names. These identifiers make our immigrant ancestor(s) unique individuals. Some of the most commonly used identifiers include:

  • Immigration information
  • Other family members
  • Religion
  • Friends and neighbors
  • Geographic clues
  • Immigration information

Chapter 1 covers these identifiers and more. Study them carefully, fill out the biography form, and report back sometime next week on what you have to begin this process. Some of you may have nothing more than a name and information in this country. That is GREAT! This is the beginning.
