There are many kinds of forms which you may create to help visualize or solve research problems. These may be filed at the back of the last section, or volume. Or, if you have many family records, filed behind all of the Family Group Records.

When necessary, due to the volume of information you have collected, materials can be broken down even further into smaller units, such as a particular surname in one state or one county. These surname tabs are also colored, so that you can locate information easily.

While it is not necessary to experiment with all of these forms now, it is good to be aware of them for future reference.

Your personal Family History Archival Notebook will be constantly expanding. Not only will it record ancestors long gone, it will record more recent events.

It is a good idea to periodically update the information in your binder(s), as people are born, pass away, marry or move. Just add the information as you learn about it, and later update your files. Once your new printout contains all your corrections, you can discard the old papers.

A supplemental computer checklist is offered in the following pages for PAF 5.0 users.  Everyone else can stop here.
