COMPUTER CHECKLIST #13

This little instruction period, will deal with how you would enter military sources into the Notes field of your genealogy computer program.

As taught in the Computer Checklist in Lesson 4, PAF has an option that will allow you to identify notes by a Note Selector list. You could take advantage of this option if you are using the military record as a specific source to provide the birth or death date of an individual, for example.

The event in that case would be BIRTH or DEATH, even though it is coming from a "military" source.
