The first task is to import the GEDCOM data into your data file.

Place the diskette that has the family file information on into the appropriate drive of your computer. This will probably be the "A" drive.

If you have more than one PAF data file stored on your system, be sure to activate the one that you wish to have the GEDCOM data file imported into.

You activate the import in one of two ways:

• click the icon
• click File from the main menu and select Import

Highlight the file that you wish to import from the file directory that is displayed. Once you have highlighted the file, click Import. The file will be imported into the file that is active on the screen.
