all about time

Research time has been greatly reduced for today's family historian due in part to the development of massive computer databases and indexes to vital records, as well as Internet indexes to information. While these references should never be used alone because they are finding aids only and the original resources often contain many more clues, they do lead to primary original sources.

This lesson will discuss some of the advantages and purposes to the databases found at the Family History Library and its centers so you will know which ones to use to answer the various questions you may have on your family.
